While high definition television may be a few years from prevalence, programs like the Discovery Channel's Planet Earth are creating a path. This new 11-part series (started last Sunday) maximizes HD potential with brilliant, phenomenal, eye-rubbing footage of life on this planet. Sigourney Weaver narrates hour-long episodes, each focusing on a different geographical habitat (Desert, Mountain, Ocean, etc). Your world, like you've never seen it before.
The Planet Earth website has a lot of cool content -- worth checking out, and I'm going to go ahead and recommend the DVD for purchase. Everyone should see this (even Oprah says so).

After years of shamelessly trashing indie music it is good to see you beginning to see the light.
Hipster indie alt pop bullshit, all of it....but some of it is actually good to listen to, eh?
